Cathryn (Cathy)'s Story
Most of you knew me as Cathy Hart back then. My life has gone through many changes since then. I have been married for almost 18 years this time. I had a baby before graduation in April of 74. I was married at that time to Dennis Shipley. We had a boy named after Dennis, but we call him Allan. Allan is 34 now and married and has 2 sons that are 16 and 14. Then I had another boy in 1982 who is 26 now and has a degree in urban ministries. He live in Alaska with his wife of the past 1 1/2. He just got signed on by a team in the ABA. Their name is Alaskan Dream. He is training for either the NBA or going back overseas and play Euro Ball. Both my boys are big guys. Allan is 6' 2" and my little guy Josh is 6' 8" and plays forward. He played center in collage. I moved to Houston in 1986 and then back to
Corpus in 1993. We moved back here to Houston in September 2007. I did get my GED and went to LVN school at Del Mar and Graduated in 1984. I did most of my nursing career in Houston. I started getting sick back in 1992 and finally was not able to work any longer. I have several illnesses, however I do have faith in God to bring me through. If any one remembers Becky Willeford she and I are still friends and she lives up here two. We don't hang out too much as we live on opposite sides of Houston. We have gotten together at Thanksgiving and I went to Church with her once.Her sister Lynn lives in Corpus. She moved back in 2002.By the way the photo on my page is with my youngest son Josh. We are in Costa Rico where he had just gotten married on the beach! It was awesome!!! We were on the Pacific side on the Noacoya Peninsula right at the tip at Malpais Costa Rico. I did not want to leave there. Six days was not enough! And Ralph DePenya if ya read this Hi! Go down there. They have one of the best point breaks in the world. My life is not too exciting due to my health problems. My husband has cancer so he is kinda weak from the radiation treatments. Its a good thing we like one another!!I found out that several of the people who I knew back then have passed away from drug over doses. I am coming up on 9 years clean and sober.
